Google Cloud has announced the Gemini agent at Gemini at Work 2026. The company describes it as an agent for workplace tasks that can plan work, use tools and connect with business systems from a prompt window.
Google says the agent can support activities including answering questions, creating content and coding within existing work environments. Its announcement also highlights model selection, cost controls and enterprise administration.
