Pakistan’s government and opposition exchanged accusations on Friday as a PTI protest campaign seeking Imran Khan’s release continued, Arab News reported. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi is leading the march.
Government representatives criticised the party’s approach to the province’s security challenges. PTI described its campaign as peaceful and constitutional. These are the respective sides’ positions, rather than independently established conclusions about the dispute.
The report described changing travel plans, with a planned arrival in Swabi on 11 October before decisions on the next stage. It did not establish a final arrival time in Islamabad. Mediation efforts were also reported, without an announced breakthrough, leaving the political outcome uncertain.
