Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed federal ministries to complete the digitisation of relevant records within their assigned time frames and make the data available to a central data centre. APP reported the instructions after a Digital Nation Pakistan progress meeting on 8 October.
The prime minister called for coordination with provincial governments and the institutions responsible for the information. He said clearly assigned responsibilities and shared records should help improve the delivery of government services.
Officials said health, agriculture and other public-service sectors were receiving priority. The meeting also reviewed work on national medical records and medicine verification through QR codes. These were updates on work in progress; the report did not announce that every ministry's records had already been integrated.
