Pakistan recorded more than 4.3 million international tourist arrivals during 2024 and 2025, according to a report presented by the Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination to the National Assembly on Friday.

The official data indicates a growth in tourism, with over 2.1 million visitors arriving in 2024 and approximately 2.2 million in 2025. Afghanistan, the United Kingdom, and the United States emerged as the primary sources of international visitors during this period.

According to the country-wise breakdown, Afghanistan contributed the highest number of visitors with over 1.216 million arrivals across the two years. This included 641,199 tourists in 2024 and 575,674 in 2025. The United Kingdom followed with a total exceeding one million visitors, recording 503,409 arrivals in 2024 and 514,412 in 2025.

The United States accounted for more than 500,000 visitors, while arrivals from Iran showed an upward trend, rising from 106,835 in 2024 to 152,885 in 2025. Canadian arrivals remained consistent, totaling approximately 234,000 over the two years.

The ministry's figures also highlighted 159,668 visitors from China, 84,486 from Germany, and 117,732 from Australia during the two-year timeframe. Other regional contributors included Malaysia and Thailand, though both countries saw a decrease in visitor numbers between 2024 and 2025.
